Mexico... My Favorite Place
My favorite place is my parents hometown in Mexico. I have gone there every year since I was a little girl and it always brings back a nostalgic feeling. It is a very small town and everyone there knows each other. It is not a tourist place in Mexico but in my opinion that is what makes it that much better. This small town is located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. I am fond of other beautiful places that I have visited but I think it makes it more special to me that some of my family lives there.
Above is a picture of the church that is in the small town. To most people that visit the town, this is an important figure. When you are first arriving to the town, you can see the lights from the top of the church and that makes it feel like a "welcome home".
My favorite part of visiting here is the serenity that it brings. I go from a busy schedule and hectic traffic everywhere to a quiet peaceful place where I can unwind before coming back to school. I am the type of person that always goes back to my childhood because it brings me happiness and returning here is almost like I am returning to my childhood. I can be stress free and only worry about family and what is happening at that moment.
Wonderful, Catalina! That is a beautiful picture of the church in your parents' town. As you can guess, the temples (churches) are an incredibly important part of the geography of India, in cities and towns, large and small, and many of those temples are dedicated to the characters you will be reading about in the epics. Maybe you will want to use Wikipedia and other online resources to look at those temples and learn about them for your class project... there are literally millions of temples! ReplyDeleteHi Catalina,
ReplyDeleteIt is so cool that your hometown is your favorite place. That small town in Mexico looks beautiful. I can totally relate to your feelings of nostalgia and comfort in your hometown, as I, too, have those feelings upon returning home. Memories of childhood bring peace and happiness. I use my returning home as a break from the hectic school life as well.
